Brandon Manning Named to 2015 AHL All-Star Classic

Lehigh Valley, PA - The Lehigh Valley Phantoms, proud AHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers, are pleased to announce that defenseman Brandon Manning has been named to the 2015 AHL All-Star Classic in Utica, New York. Presented by Turning Stone Resort Casino, the 2015 AHL All-Star Classic will include the 2015 AHL All-Star Skills Competition on Sunday, January 25 followed by the AHL Hall of Fame Induction and Awards Ceremony and the 2015 AHL All-Star Game on Monday, January 26.
Photo courtesy JustSports Photography. It's the second all-star nod for the 24-year-old blueliner who represented the Phantoms at the 2013 AHL All-Star Classic in Providence, Rhode Island.
"It's definitely an honor to be recognized by the league and I'm looking forward to representing the Phantoms," Manning said. "It's been an exciting season playing in front of our great fans and I'm excited about making a playoff run in the Lehigh Valley."
A 6'1", 205 defender from Prince George, British Columbia, Manning currently leads all Phantoms and is fourth among all AHL blueliners in total scoring with 23 points. What's more, he enters the week first among all Lehigh Valley skaters in assists (17), penalty minutes (80), game-winning goals (three) power play points (11), power play assists (eight) and shots on goal (95).
In the midst of his fourth professional season, Manning has amassed 26 goals, 68 assists and 94 points in 215 career games with the Phantoms.
Lehigh Valley returns to action this weekend as the Phantoms head up to St. John's for showdowns this Saturday and Sunday with the IceCaps.

In their 19th season of operation, the Phantoms are currently in the midst of their Inaugural Season as the Lehigh Valley Phantoms playing at the brand-new PPL Center. Established in 1996, the Phantoms spent their first 13 seasons at the Spectrum before re-locating to Glens Falls, New York in 2009 where the team spent the next five seasons as the Adirondack Phantoms. A new era of Phantoms hockey began in the fall of 2014 when the Lehigh Valley Phantoms began play at the state-of-the-art PPL Center. Through 18 incredibly successful campaigns, the Phantoms have captured two Calder Cup Championships (1998, 2005), two Conference Championships (1998, 2005), two Regular Season Titles (1996-97, 1997-98) and four Division Championships (1996-97, 1997-98, 1998-99, 2003-04).
