Norfolk Recalls Bobkov from ECHL

NORFOLK, Va. - The Norfolk Admirals have announced that the American Hockey League (AHL) club has recalled goaltender Igor Bobkov from their ECHL affiliate, the Utah Grizzlies.

Bobkov, 24, has not started in net for the Admirals since November 22, but had a brief practicing stint with the Ducks before being reassigned to the Grizzlies on December 12. With Utah, Bobkov manned the pipes in seven games, putting up a 3-3-1 record in addition to a 3.78 goals-against average (GAA) and .818 save percentage (sv%). During his six games as starter for the Admirals, the Surgut, Russia native went 1-4-0 with a 4.70 GAA and .842 sv%.

The Admirals begin their four-game road trip tonight against Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, and won ' t return to Scope Arena until January 16.
