Wideman Named to Eastern All-Stars

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The American Hockey League announced the rosters for the Eastern and Western Conferences for the 2015 AHL All-Star Classic presented by Turning Stone Resort Casino. Chris Wideman will be the Binghamton Senators lone representative on the Eastern Conference squad.

Wideman, who turns 25 on January 7, is currently tied for the league lead among defensemen with 29 points (12 goals, 17 assists) in 32 games played. This will mark the first AHL All-Star appearance for the third year player.

Through 165 AHL games, all with Binghamton, the 5-10, 175 pound native of St. Louis, MO, has posted 23 goals and 75 assists along with four points (two goals, two assists) over seven Calder Cup Playoff games. Prior to joining the B-Sens, Wideman spent four seasons with the University of Miami at Ohio where in 163 career games he tallied 95 points, including 83 assists to go along with 191 penalty minutes.

The 2015 All-Star Classic presented by Turning Stone Resort Casino will take place at Utica Memorial Auditorium and start with the All-Star Skills Competition on Sunday, January 25, and finish up the following evening with the All-Star Game. The 2015 AHL All-Star Teams consist of 23 players from the Western Conference and 23 players from the Eastern Conference. A complete roster of players by conference is listed below:
