Connor Brown Named to AHL All-Star Team

The AHL announced this afternoon that Toronto forward Connor Brown has been named to the 2015 AHL All-Star team. The announcement comes less than a week after Brown was named CCM Rookie of the month for December. Brown, in his first season with the Marlies, currently leads the team in assists (19), points (28) and tied for the lead in goals (nine). He will be the representing the Western Conference, coached by Utica's Travis Green and Chicago's John Anderson, taking place January 25-26, 2015 in Utica, NY.

Brown is a sixth-round selection of the Toronto Maple Leafs (156th overall) in the 2012 NHL entry draft. Prior to joining the Marlies this season, Brown spent three seasons with the Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League. Skating in 68 games last season Brown scored 45 goals and added 83 assists for 128 points, earning himself the Red Tilson trophy as the OHL's Most Outstanding Player.

The Marlies return to action Saturday when they travel to Texas for a game against the Stars. The Marlies next home game is January 24th against the Hamilton Bulldogs. Tickets can be purchase at marlies.ca/tickets or by calling 416-597-PUCK (7825).
