Springfield Falcons Reassign Forward Riley Wetmore to Elmira Jackals

Springfield, Mass. - The Springfield Falcons have reassigned forward Riley Wetmore from the Kalamazoo Wings to the Elmira Jackals of the ECHL, Falcons Director of Hockey Operations Bruce Landon announced today.

Wetmore, 25, has appeared in 23 games with the Wings, registering nine points (2g, 7a) and eight penalty minutes, since being assigned on Oct. 21. The 6-foot, 195-pound forward also skated in one game with the Falcons this season.

The Swanton, Vermont native split the 2013-14 season between the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League and Stockton Thunder of the ECHL. He skated in 38 contests with the Sound Tigers, earning 11 points (3g, 8a), and 15 with the Thunder, picking up 5 points (2g, 3a). Wetmore has appeared in a career total of 42 AHL games, accumulating 12 points (4g, 8a). During a four year career at the University of Massachusetts-Lowell, he totaled 111 points (50g, 61a) over 152 contests. Wetmore started his hockey career in the Eastern Junior Hockey League, amassing 165 points (63g, 102a) in 139 appearances with the Green Mountain Glades.
