Fri., Jan. 2 - PENGUINS 5 vs. Binghamton 0

Nick Drazenovic collected three points (2G-1A) and Matt Murray made 30 saves in leading W-B/Scranton to a 5-0 win over Binghamton. Drazenovic's first goal of the night came at 4:09 of the first and started a flurry of three goals over a span of 4:10 for the Penguins. Sahir Gill and Matia Marcantuoni each potted their first AHL goal in the win. The shutout was the second straight for W-B/Scranton.

Sat., Jan. 3 - Penguins 1 at HERSHEY 2 (SO)

Pheonix Copley made 25-of-26 saves through overtime and stopped all five Penguins skaters in the shootout as the Bears took down W-B/Scranton, 2-1. Matia Marcantuoni scored his second goal in as many games to knot the score at 9:06 of the second. Jeff Zatkoff suffered the loss despite making 28 saves and turning aside 4 out of 5 Hershey shooters.

Fri., Jan. 9 - PENGUINS vs. Norfolk

The Admirals (12-9-1-2) are in the midst of a five-game winless streak (0-2-1-2) and in fifth place in the East Division. Norfolk has also dropped six contests in a row on the road. The Admirals' penalty kill ranks fifth in the AHL at 86.6% (129- for-149). Wilkes-Barre/Scranton has a record of 1-1-1-0 this season versus Norfolk.

Sat., Jan 10 - Penguins at SYRACUSE

Syracuse (22-9-4-0) sits in second place in the Northeast Division and has gone 12-2-1-0 over the last 15 games, including a 10-game winning streak. The Crunch are 8-1-2 against the East Division this season. Andrei Vasilevskiy was named CCM/AHL Goaltender of the Month after going 4-0-1 in December with a 1.17 GAA, two shutouts and a .962 sv%.

Ice Chips

- Jeff Zatkoff (Dec. 31) and Matt Murray (Jan. 2) registered back-to-back shutouts last week, making it the third time in team history that consecutive shutouts were registered by different goaltenders. Andy Chiodo and Marc-Andre Fleury achieved the feat twice during the 2004-05 season.

- Zatkoff ranks first in the AHL in goals against average (1.69), is tied for first in save percentage (.932) and tied for second in shutouts (3).

- The Penguins have allowed just one power play goal over their last seven games (27-for-28).

- Brian Dumoulin leads league defensemen with a +21 plus- minus rating.

- W-B/Scranton is 14-0-0-0 when scoring three or more goals.
