Wednesday, November 26

Johnstown 1 @ Wheeling 6

The Nailers recorded their first win of the season against the Chiefs to improve their season record to 1-3-0 against Johnstown. Neither team scored in the first period of this game with Wheeling out shooting Johnstown 15-10. The Nailers scored five second period goals to take a 5-0 lead. The Nailers goals were scored by Arpad Mihaly, Chris McNamara, two by J.F. Dufour and T.J. Reynolds while on a power play. The Nailers increased their lead to 6-0 on a J.C. Ruid goal early in the third period. The only Chiefs goal was scored by P.L. Courchense at 4:24 of the final period. Tyler MacKay made 27 saves on 28 shots for the win.

Friday, November 28

Wheeling 2 @ Trenton 0

The Nailers began a three game in three night series against the Titans with a shutout win in Trenton. The teams played scoreless hockey for 53:05 before the Nailers scored two goal in 19 seconds for the win. Bogdan Rudenko scored his first goal of the season at 13:05 of the third period from T.J. Reynolds and Eddie Pershin. J.F. Dufour scored the second Nailers goal at 13:24 from Jason Jaffray and Reynolds. Nick Boucher recorded his first professional win and first professional shutout by making 29 saves.

Saturday, November 29

Trenton 2 @ Wheeling 5

For the second consecutive night the Nailers took a 2-0 lead with a pair of goals less than one minute apart. J.F. Dufour gave the Nailers a 1-0 lead at 10:54 of the second period and Dan Ennis scored 28 second later to make it 2-0. Trenton scored two second period goals to tie the game 2-2. Before the second period ended the Nailers took a 3-2 lead on a J.C. Ruid power play goal. The Nailers got third period goals from Steve Crampton and Eddie Pershin for the 5-2 win. Nick Boucher made 31 saves on 33 shots for the win.

Friday, November 28

Wheeling 2 @ Trenton 0

In the three game weekend finale against the Titans the Nailers lost for only the second time in regulation at home. It was also the first time the Nailers were shutout at home this season. Trenton scored two first period goals, the second on the power play, to take a 2- lead. The Titans scored the final goal of the game in the second period in their 3- win. Tyler MacKay started the game for the Nailers and made four saves on six shots in his second loss of the season. Nick Boucher finished the game by making 13 saves on 14 shots.

PREVIEW OF UPCOMING NAILERS GAMES

December 1-December 7

Friday,December 5

Wheeling @ Cincinnati 7:30p.m.

The Nailers begin the first weekend in December by traveling to Cincinnati for the second time this season. Wheeling lost 4-1 in Cincinnati on November 5 in the only game played between the teams this season. Brendon Hodge scored the only Nailers goal that game and Nick Boucher took the loss in goal.

Saturday, December 6

Wheeling @ Toledo 7:30p.m.

This will be the fourth meeting of the season between these teams with the Nailers going 1-1-1in the first three games. The Nailers are 1-1-0 in Toledo, having won on November 8 and losing on November 22. The Nailers lost in a shootout to the Storm in Wheeling on November 1.

Sunday, December 7

Trenton @ Wheeling 6:00p.m.

The Nailers host the Titans for the third and final time this season after splitting the first two games in Wheeling the previous weekend. The Nailers are 2-1-0 against the Titans this season. This game will be the second of eight ticket redemption nights at WesBanco Arena. It will also be Military Night with members of the Armed Services receiving a discount on their tickets with a military I.D. Fans will also be able to drop off notes and letters for members of the military serving abroad.

Nailers Player of the Week:

The Nailers Player of the Week is J.F. Dufour. Dufour had six points, four goals and two assists, in four games while playing at a +6 in the +/- category. He had two goals and one assist in a 6-1 win at home against Johnstown. In a 2-0 win in Trenton he scored one goal and had one goal and one assist in a 5-2 home win against Trenton.

Nailers Goaltender of the Week:

The Nailers Goaltender of the Week is Nick Boucher. Boucher recorded his first professional win and shutout with a 2-0 win in Trenton on Friday. He won the next night at home against Trenton 5-2 to go 2-0-0 for the week. He had a 1.15 goals against average and a .960 save percentage.

Player notes:

J.F. Dufour leads the Nailers in goals with nine, game-winning goals with three, in +/- with a +13 and is tied with three power play goals...Jason Jaffray leads the team in points with 21, assists with 13, shorthanded goal with one, power play points with seven and is tied for the team lead with three power play goals...Nick Boucher leads the team with a 1.67 goals against average and a .942 save percentage and is tied for the team lead with one shutout.

Team notes:

The Nailers ended November with their second winning record for a month, 4-1-0 in October and 7-6-1 in November...The Nailers are fourth in the league in shots on goal for with 35.53 and sixth in the league in shots on goal against with 27.16...The Nailers lead the Northern Division with 62 goals and are 7-2-1 at home.

Record for week: 3-1-0, 6 points

Record for season: 11-7-1, 23 points
