LAST WEEK'S HIGHLIGHTS
At Springfield (11/10):
Four unanswered goals in the third period pushed the Manchester Monarchs to a 6-5 shootout victory over the Springfield Falcons on Thursday night. Left wing Jeff Tambellini scored two goals and forward Brendan Bernakevitch tallied one with less than five minutes remaining in regulation to tie the game 5-5. Right wing Konstantin Pushkarev and defenseman Brad Fast also collected goals in the victory. Left wing Noah Clarke's lone shootout goal gave the Monarchs the win. The Falcons registered goals from left wing Ryan Craig, center Jason Jaspers, right wing Norm Milley, center Nick Tarnasky and left wing Mitch Fritz. Monarchs' goaltender Adam Hauser finished the evening with 18 saves and stopped all five of Springfield's shootout snipers. Falcons' goaltender Brian Eklund took the loss stopping 29 shots. Manchester went 3-for-7 on the power play. Springfield was also 3-for-7 with the man advantage.
Vs. Lowell (11/11):
The Manchester Monarchs rallied from a two-goal deficit to top the Lowell Lock Monsters, 5-4, in a shootout on Friday night. Center Connor James, defenseman Richard Petiot and right wings Brad Smyth and Petr Kanko found the back of the net for the Monarchs. Smyth and rookie right wings Konstantin Pushkarev and Lauri Tukonen tallied in the shootout. Right wing Chad Larose and centers Brad Richardson, David Gove and Keith Aucoin scored in regulation for Lowell. Right wing Daniel DaSilva and Aucoin scored in the shootout for the Lock Monsters. Monarchs' goaltender Barry Brust made 33 saves in his third win of the season. Lowell goaltender Kevin Nastiuk made 18 saves on the night. Manchester went 0-for-3 on the power play. Lowell was 2-for-10 with the man advantage. Vs. Hershey (11/12): The Manchester Monarchs had six goals by five different rookies to sneak past the Hershey Bears, 6-5, in overtime on Saturday night. Left wing Jeff Tambellini (2), defenseman Richard Petiot, forward Brendan Bernakevitch and right wings Ryan Murphy and Lauri Tukonen scored for the Monarchs. The Bears had goals from defensemen Mike Green and Mark Wotton and right wings Boyd Kane, Eric Fehr and Graham Mink. Monarchs' goaltender Adam Hauser stopped 42 shots and Hershey's goaltender Kirk Daubenspeck made 27 saves. Manchester went 0-for-5 on the power play. Hershey was 2-for-7 with the man advantage.
MONARCHS TRANSACTIONS
11/11/05: The Manchester Monarchs (AHL) returned defenseman Reagan Rome on loan to the Reading Royals (ECHL).
11/10/05: The Los Angeles Kings (NHL) returned defenseman Richard Petiot on loan to the Manchester Monarchs (AHL).
MONARCHS NEWS & NOTES
The Monarchs (8-3-0-1, 17 points) are tied for second place in the Atlantic Division. The Monarchs are currently on a three-game winning streak. Manchester has sent seven out of their 12 games into overtime and/or a shootout this season, winning six out of those seven games. The Monarchs have only won two games in regulation.
At home, the Monarchs are undefeated when they are out-shot by the opponent (5-0-0-0), leading after the first period (4-0-0-0), trailing after the second period (3-0-0-0), in one-goal games (4-0-0-0) and when they face an Atlantic Division opponent (3-0-0-0). On the road, the Monarchs are undefeated when they out-shoot the opponent (3-0-0-0).
The Monarchs are undefeated when scoring shorthanded (3-0-0-0) and when they allow a shorthanded goal (2-0-0-0). Manchester is undefeated when they score five or more goals (5-0-0-0).
With special teams, the Monarchs' power play is ranked 21st in the League, capitalizing 10 times on 78 opportunities. Ranked 20th in penalty killing, Manchester has given up 20 goals on 92 opportunities.
The Monarchs are ranked second in the AHL in attendance after six home games, averaging 8,197 fans per game. Left wing Jeff Tambellini leads the team with seven goals and 14 points (7-7=14).

The Monarchs are 6-0-0-0 when both Smyth and Tambellini record a point in the same game. James is currently on a three-game point streak (1-3=4) and has eight points (2-6=8) in his last six games. Defenseman Marty Wilford is on a three game assist and point streak (0-3=3).
Wilford has six assists in his last five games. Right wing Lauri Tukonen has recorded three points (1-2=3) in his last three games, including the game-winning goal on Saturday night. Manchester is 7-1-0-1 when Tukonen registers a point. Defenseman Richard Petiot is currently on a two-game goal streak (2-0=2), recording his first two professional goals. The Monarchs are 5-1-0-0 when defenseman Denis Grebeshkov records an assist. When right wing Konstantin Pushkarev collects a point, the Monarchs are 4-0-0-1.

Season Ticket Holder Meet & Greet: The Monarchs will hold their second Season Ticket Holder Meet & Greet at the Verizon Wireless Arena on Wednesday, November 16 from 6-8:30 p.m.
