Belanger, 31, had zero points and seven penalty minutes in five games with the Kings this season. The 6-foot-4, 220-pound native of Sault Ste. In 248-career NHL games with the Kings, the Boston Bruins, the New York Islanders and the Toronto Maple Leafs, Belanger had 23 points (11-12=23) and 695 penalty minutes.
The Monarchs face the Providence Bruins at the Dunkin' Donuts Center on Friday, November 18 at 7:05 p.m. before they return home on Saturday, November 19 to host the Lowell Lock Monsters at 7:35 p.m.
