Springfield Falcons News Release
Springfield, MA - The Springfield Falcons, proud members of the American Hockey League, announced today that goaltender Gerald Coleman has been reassigned to Springfield by their National Hockey League affiliate, the Tampa Bay Lightning. Coleman will join the Falcons on Tuesday as Springfield prepares to host the Albany River Rats on Friday night at the MassMutual Center starting at 8:05 PM.

When drafted by the Lightning in 2003, Coleman became the first member of the NHL Diversity Program to be selected by an NHL team. He participated in the 1997 Willie O'Ree All-Star Game, and helped coach the 2001 game at the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa.
The Falcons return to action on Friday, November 18 when they host the Albany River Rats at the MassMutual Center starting at 8:05 PM. Springfield will travel to Bridgeport on Saturday before returning home on Sunday to host the Binghamton Senators at 4:05 PM.
