WHAT'S NEW!

The Pirates are in first place in the Atlantic Division with a 10-4-0 record. The Pirates record through 14 games marks the second best start in franchise history. Only during the 1994-95 season did the Pirates have a better record through 14 games (11-0-3).

Today Dustin Penner was named the WJAB Player of the Week. Penner will join the "The Morning Jab" on WJAB 1440AM/95.5FM on Wednesday morning at 8:00 a.m.

On Friday night, the Pirates will travel to Lowell to face the Lock Monsters at 7:35 p.m. If the Pirates score three goals, they will reach a total of 3,000 franchise goals.

The new Portland Pirates Hall of Fame Display, presented by UnumProvident and made possible by GetEtched.com is now on display in the Penalty Box Grill, located in the main lobby of the Cumberland County Civic Center.

UPCOMING PROMOTIONS

Saturday, November 19th vs. Providence 7:05 p.m. - U.S. Cellular Night! Fans will receive foam pucks courtesy of U.S. Cellular.

Sunday, November 20th vs. Hartford 4:05 p.m.- The first 2,500 fans will receive ice scrapers courtesy of Dunkin' Donuts upon entering the game. There will also be a Dunkin' Donuts booth where fans can sample hot chocolate or Dunkin' Donuts famous coffee.

Hannaford teams up with The Shipyard Brewing Co. and the Portland Pirates to bring you the Winter Getaway to the AHL 2006 All-Star Classic!

Ticket plans are still available for the 2005-06 season at the Pirates office, located at 531 Congress Street in Portland. Ticket plans start at just $50. The office is open Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Fans can also purchase tickets over the phone by calling (207) 828-4665 or by e-mailing tickets@portlandpirates.com.

IN THE COMMUNITY

Today Tim Brent and Ryan Shannon will be at O'Naturals Restaurant on Exchange St. in Portland from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

On Wednesday, November 16th Aaron Rome and Dustin Penner will be at the Hannaford Supermarket in South Portland from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

On Thursday, November 17th Shane Hynes and Jordan Smith will present the first "Goals for Success" of the season at Freeport Middle School from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

On Thursday, November 17th Mike Wall and Nathan Marsters will be at the Hannaford Supermarket in Westbrook from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
