Mighty Ducks Schedule Loaded with Weekend Dates

CINCINNATI, Ohio - Thirty-six home weekend games highlight the 2003-2004 Cincinnati Mighty Ducks schedule in the American Hockey League.

The Mighty Ducks will open the season, its seventh in the AHL, at home against the expansion Toronto Roadrunners Saturday, October 11 at Cincinnati Gardens.

Thirty-six of the 40 home games will be on a Friday (16), Saturday (15) or Sunday (5) during the season. Other season highlights include a special 11:05 a.m. "Hockey Recess" game Wednesday, November 19 against Chicago and a holiday eve contest Wednesday, November 26 against Utah the night before Thanksgiving.

The Mighty Ducks will host traditional rival Cleveland four times this season (February 29, March 19, March 27 and April 10). Division rivals Chicago and Grand Rapids will visit the Queen City five times each. All other West Division opponents will visit the Gardens four times, including Calder Cup champion Houston (December 19 and 20, January 2 and April 9).

Cincinnati has two season-high five-game homestands: January 16-24 (Manitoba, Milwaukee, San Antonio, Hamilton-2) and February 6-15 (Utah, Grand Rapids, Chicago, Manitoba, Milwaukee). The Mighty Ducks have two season-high six-game road trips: March 6-17 (Milwaukee, Cleveland, Utah-2, Grand Rapids, Chicago) and March 28-April 7 (San Antonio-2, Houston-2, Milwaukee, Cleveland).

The local radio schedule for 2003-2004 Mighty Ducks games on WCKY-AM (1360) is being finalized and will be released at a later date. Mighty Ducks regular season games will also be carried via the Internet at www.sportsjuice.com.
