July 31, 2003 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Manitoba Moose News Release
The Manitoba Moose, in conjunction with the American Hockey League (AHL), released their 2003-04 regular season schedule today. The Moose will open the final season of hockey in the Winnipeg Arena on Saturday, October 11 at home versus the St. John's Maple Leafs. The Moose will close out the regular season at home on April 10, 2004 against their division rivals, the Hamilton Bulldogs.
In honor of the final season of hockey in the Winnipeg Arena, the Manitoba Moose Hockey Club will celebrate the building's hockey history throughout the 2003-04 season. With the theme "Building Memories, Building Excitement", The Moose will look back at some of the game's greatest moments at the Arena through celebrations featuring special guests and giveaways, as well as look forward to the opening of the brand new True North Centre in the Fall of 2004.
The Moose home schedule will see the team play 30 of 40 home games on either Friday (13 dates), Saturday (9 dates) or Sunday (8 dates). The longest homestand of the season will begin on February 20th when the team is home for ten games in a row up until March 12th.
