Fresno Falcons News Release
FRESNO, Calif. â The Green and Gold is back!! For the first time since the Fresno Falcons joined the West Coast Hockey League, the team will be donning their original green and gold jerseys on Tuesday and Wednesday nights at Selland Arena. For both of this week's 7pm contests against the Bakersfield Condors and Idaho Steelheads, respectively, the Falcons players will be wearing replicas of the original Falcons jerseys in honor of the last regular season home games to be held at Selland Arena as members of the WCHL.
Tuesday and Wednesday's games will also mark the Falcons' Fan Appreciation Nights, where all fans in the building will be eligible to win prizes donated by the Falcons and their valued sponsors. Raffle tickets will be available to fans as they enter the building both nights, and winners will be drawn throughout both games for prizes including free dinners, t-shirts, passes to Sea World, gym memberships, and home appliances.
Tuesday is the final Carl's Jr. Two for Tuesday game, and the first 1,000 fans in the building will also receive a free sun shade courtesy of Big Bob' s New and Used Carpets. The intermissions will feature the final Human Slingshot contest, sponsored by the Palace Indian Gaming Center, as well as the awarding of the "Best Seat in the House" recliners from Fashion Furniture. There will be a post-game party at the Old Fresno Hofbrau following the game.
The first 2,000 fans in the arena on Wednesday night will receive a free "Falcons Through the Years" poster courtesy of Fotech and Costless Printing, as well as 5,000 newspapers from the Fresno Bee. Representatives from Home Crafters Spas will also be on hand to give away the spa to one of the Chuck A Puck winners from this season. The throwback jerseys will be auctioned off immediately following the game at the Radisson Hotel Downtown. A portion of the proceeds from the auction, conducted by the Voice of the Valley, Flint Epps, will be donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Playoff packages are still available through the Falcons office, and individual playoff tickets go on sale on Monday April 7th at noon at the Selland Arena Box Office. For more information, call the Falcons office at 485-PUCK!
