Roanoke's Carlson Named InGlasCo East Coast Hockey League Player of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Roanoke left wing Dan Carlson is the InGlasCo East Coast Hockey League Player of the Week for March 24-30.

The 23-year-old Carlson scored 12 points (3g-9a) and was +4 as Roanoke went 4-1 and finished third in the Northeast Division.

The 5-10 and 190-pound Carlson scored a power-play goal and had a pair of assists in Roanoke's 6-1 win over Trenton on Tuesday, and he had an assist in the Express' 4-2 loss at Greensboro on Wednesday.

He scored a power-play goal and added an assist in Roanoke's 5-2 win against Richmond on Friday. He scored the game-winning goal and had two assists in Roanoke's 6-2 win against Reading on Saturday, and closed out the season with three assists in a 4-3 win at Richmond on Sunday.

Carlson led the Express with 35 regular-season goals and finished tied for second in the ECHL with 18 power-play goals. He ranked third on the team with 43 assists and 78 points, and was the only player to appear in all 72 of Roanoke's regular-season games.

On behalf of Dan Carlson, a case of pucks will be donated to a Roanoke area youth hockey organization by InGlasCo.
