Condors finish off Aces

It was a frustrating season series with Anchorage, but it ended on a positive note for Bakersfield as the Condors took a 3-1 win on Friday night in front of the hometown crowd. RW Jamie Cooke scored twice and LW J.J. Wrobel added his 11th of the season to give the Condors a 3-0 lead just over halfway through the game. The Aces scored in the third period to bring the score to 3-1 and that's where it ended. Bakersfield took their fourth in a row, and wrapped up the series against the pesky Aces. G Kevin St. Pierre stopped 31 shots for his league-leading 35th win.

Win over Fresno makes it five straight

The Condors dominance over their Highway 99 Rivals continued on Saturday night, as Kevin St. Pierre stopped 22 shots for his fourth shutout of the season in a 3-0 win over the Falcons. C Paul Willett and RW Christian Skoryna each had a goal and an assist, and forward Jason Ralph notched his 25th goal of the season. Ralph snapped an 11-game goal scoring drought with his sixth power play goal of the season. Willett's goal came shorthanded late in the first period, and the Condors defense needed no more support. They held the Falcons to just 11 shots on goal over the final 50 minutes of the game, after a strong start for Fresno. Bakersfield improved to 13-1-1 against Fresno on the season, with one game remaining.
