Express Playoff Schedule Set

ROANOKE, VA – The Roanoke Express has announced its schedule for the first round of the Northeast Division playoffs. The best-of-five series with the Greensboro Generals will begin on Thursday, April 3 in Greensboro. The Generals will host games one and two, with the Express hosting games three and, if necessary four. If a fifth game is needed, Greensboro will be the home team.

Game 1 will be at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday from the Greensboro Coliseum, and game 2 will follow on Friday, April 4 at 7:30 p.m., also from the Greensboro Coliseum. The third game will be played on Saturday, April 5 at the Roanoke Civic Center at 7:35 p.m. If a fourth game is needed, it will be played at the Roanoke Civic Center on Tuesday, April 8 at 7:05 p.m. At this time, the date and time for game five is to be determined.

Individual tickets for Roanoke Express home playoff games go on sale to the public on Tuesday, April 1 beginning at 9:00 a.m. In addition, the Express is offering playoff ticket packages, which may be purchased at the Roanoke Express office, located on Franklin Rd. in Roanoke.

In other news, all Express playoff games will be carried live on Family Radio 3WR, 910 AM in Roanoke and 960 AM in Blacksburg. Richmond Renegades broadcaster John Emmett will be taking over the broadcasting duties from Kevin Reiter for all Express playoff games. Reiter will be absent because of prior obligations to broadcast for the Salem Avalanche Baseball Club, in Salem, VA.
