
Mississippi Announces Playoff Roster and Playoff Scenarios

BILOXI, Miss. â Mississippi Sea Wolves coach Bob Woods announced today the roster for the 2003 Kelly Cup Playoffs and postseason scenarios for the organization.
The Sea Wolves 20-man active playoff roster consists of two goaltenders in Greg Gardner and Sean Matile. There are seven defensemen consisting of Chris Allen, Jim Baxter, Ryan Clark, David Cornacchia, Austin Miller, Sean Peach and Patrick Rochon. Mississippi will have 11 forwards featuring Josh Bennett, Darryl Campbell, Kent Davyduke, John Evangelista, Jeff Hutchins, Sergei Kuznetsov, Travis Lisabeth, Dave Paradise, Stu Pietersma, Mike Scott and Steffon Walby.
Mississippi has placed defenseman Chris Cava on the 7-day injured reserve along with forward Cody Bowtell.
"We've kept all 22 players and we're happy with the team chemistry," said Woods. "It's good to have a few extra guys for injuries and also to push the others in the active lineup. We feel good about our team and we hope to do some damage in the playoffs."
The Sea Wolves will play the winner of tomorrow's Southwest Division Wildcard Game between Jackson and Pensacola. The winner of that game will travel to Biloxi, Mississippi for Game 1 of the best-of-five Southwest Division Semifinals at 7:05 p.m. on Wednesday at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum. The Sea Wolves will also host Game 2 on Friday at 7:35 p.m. at the Wolves Den.
Jackson does not have ice available and as a result the Sea Wolves would host all of the games. If Mississippi plays Jackson, the following will be the dates and times of the best-of-five series:

Game 4 â (if necessary) Sunday, April 6 vs. Jackson Bandits â 5:05 p.m. CT Mississippi Coast Coliseum, Biloxi, Mississippi
Game 5 â (if necessary) Tuesday, April 8 vs. Jackson Bandits â 7:05 p.m. CT Mississippi Coast Coliseum, Biloxi, Mississippi
If Mississippi plays Pensacola, the following will be the dates and times of the best-of-five series:

Mississippi's slogan for the postseason is âOne Cup. One Goal.' The Sea Wolves will have special white commemorative sweaters available to commemorate the 2003 Kelly Cup Playoffs. The Sea Wolves intend to have a âwhite-out' in effect for Game 1 on Wednesday at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum.
