?DOUBLE DUCKS

Tonight the Oilers clash with the Mallards for the second straight night to complete a two-game swing in Quad City. On Friday, the Oilers earned a 1-0 victory over the Mallards thanks to 18 saves from Kevin Carr and a power play goal from Brandon Wong. Tulsa won its first road game of the season and handed Quad City its first regulation loss of the season. The two sides combined for 39 penalty minutes and just 38 shots on goal.

AT HIS BEST

Dating back to last season, Oilers' goalie Kevin Carr is 4-0-2 at iWireless Center. In those six appearances, the second-year pro from Unionville, Ontario has posted a .966 save-percentage, a 1.00 goals against average, and two shutouts. Carr has not allowed more than one regulation goal to the Mallards in any of his last five starts at iWireless Center.

FIRST PERIOD FISTICUFFS

Although the first period of Friday's tilt against the Mallards didn't include any goals, it did feature the first two fights of the season for the Oilers. Brady Ramsay traded punches with Quad City's Austin Coldwell at the 6:53 mark of the opening frame and at 12:36, Brian Nugent dropped the gloves with Mallards' defenseman Jake Baker.

POWER PLAY BREAKTHROUGH

After going 0-for-11 on the power play through the first three games of the season, the Oilers were able to capitalize for their first man-advantage goal on Friday. With Mallards' forward Alex Gudbranson in the box for cross-checking, Brandon Wong slipped a shot from the slot past Quad City goalie Steve Michalek at 6:38 of the second period for the only goal of the contest.

KILLER INSTINCT

The Oilers continued their stingy play on the penalty kill in Friday's win by erasing all four of the Mallards' power play opportunities. For the season, the Oilers are 17-for-18 on the penalty kill, a success rate of 94.4-percent.

BROWNIE POINTS

Defenseman David Brown, recently acquired by Tulsa in a trade from Manchester, made his Oilers debut on Friday night and notched his first point as an Oiler with an assist on Brandon Wong's power play goal. A 26-year old native of Cypress, California, Brown appeared in 47 games last season with the Ontario Reign after concluding a four-year college career at Western Michigan University.

LOW AND LEAN

The Oilers are averaging only two goals per game through the first four games of the season but are also allowing only two goals per contest. Tulsa has surrendered just one goal in the last six periods.

OIL DROPS

Brandon Wong has scored for the Oilers in back-to-back games...the Oilers allowed only 10 shots on goal over the final 40 minutes of Friday's victory over the Mallards...forward Darian Dziurzynski left Friday's game after the first period with an upper-body injury.
