Augusta Lynx News Release
Augusta, GA - Adam Taylor scored twice and Vince Bellissimo added a goal and two assists as the Florida Everblades downed the Augusta Lynx 3-1 Friday night at the James Brown Arena.
After a scoreless first period, Taylor notched his first of the night just 1:57 into the second stanza from Brad Parsons and Bellissimo, followed by a Bellissimo marker at 4:49 to make it 2-0 Florida. Taylor added his 12th of the year and second of the night at 13:01 for a three goal Everblades advantage.
Shane Hynes got Augusta on the board with a power play goal at 5:58 of the third period, banging home a rebound off the pad of Craig Kowalski for his 15th of the year. Brian Passmore and Sean Blanchard collected the assists.
From there, Augusta tried to keep the momentum rolling in its direction, but Florida was able to withstand the pressure and keep the score at 3-1 for the remainder of regulation.
Kowalski stopped 36 of 37 shots to earn the win for Florida while Dave McKee took the loss with 32 stops.
