vs Stockton Thunder
Game two of a three-game series
LAST GAME vs Stockton: The Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre was filled with Valentine wishes as the Salmon Kings snagged a sweet victory from the visiting Stockton Thunder on Wednesday.
In the waning minutes of the first period, Victoria countered Stockton pressure with a breakaway goal from Captain Kiel McLeod.
The Salmon Kings added to their lead in the second stanza with tallies from Mike Stutzel and Jordan Krestanovich.
Marc-Andre Bernier snuffed the Stockton powerplay attempt with a shorthanded goal at the end of the third period. Julien Ellis made 36 saves to earn his first pro shutout, and the first Salmon Kings shutout at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre.

THUNDER CRASHING The Salmon Kings tied a team record this season with the largest margin of victory (4 goals) on Wednesday...Stockton was shutout for the first time in club history (last two seasons)...Julien Ellis has won five of his last six starts...Milan Gajic has earned five points (1g, 4a) in three games versus Stockton this season...F.P. Guenette has notched five assists in three games versus Stockton.
