Cyclones Finish Pre-Season at 1-1

The Cyclones finished their pre-season slate with a 1-1 record heading into this week's showdown with the Peoria Rivermen. The Clones beat the Dayton Bombers 6-4 on Saturday in Kettering, Ohio. On Sunday, the Clones were shutout 3-0 by the Toledo Storm at SportsPlus in Cincinnati.

Saturday, October 11-Cylones 6 at Bombers 4: The Clones made their first road trip of the season a succesful one with a 6-4 win in Kettering on Saturday night. The Cyclones beat a Dayton Bombers team that was still reeling from a 6-1 defeat on Friday in Toledo. The Clones got a pair of goals from rookie Michael Chin. Rookies Michael Bozoian and Jeremy Bachusz also had markers. Returning Cyclones John Campbell and Garrett Prosofsky also dented the scoreboard at the Kettering Rec Center.

Sunday, October 12-Cyclones 0 Storm 3: The Clones dropped a 3-0 decision to the Toledo Storm on Sunday night at SportsPlus. The loss moves the Clones pre-season record to 1-1. Toledo's Nick Parillo scored two first period goals to stake the Storm to a 2-0 lead. New Storm acquisition Adam Edinger added a second period marker in the win.

This Week

The Clones kick off the season at home on Friday. The Peoria Rivermen coming calling with revenge on their mind. The Clones beat the R-men in the first round of the ECHL playoffs last spring. This year's edition of the Clones will be looking to continue their success after beating Peoria three games to one last spring.

On Saturday, the Clones head to Dayton to face the Bombers. Last season, the Clones went 8-2-1 against the Bombers. Dayton has reloaded with a new coach, former Bomber Jamie Ling, and will be looking to reverse their fortunes against the Clones. The Bombers will also be trying to return to the playoffs after missing out last spring.

On Sunday, the Clones continue their first road trip in Johnstown. The Cyclones will make their first trip to the newly remodeled Cambria County Memorial. The Clones owned the Chiefs last year recording a 7-1-0 record vs. their division rivals.

Clones to Watch

-John Cronin, Mike Murray, Michael Chin, Connor Dunlop, Brian Passmore and Aaron MacInnis will all make their pro debut on Friday night.

-Garrett Prosofsky, Mike Casselman and Jason Norrie will return to U.S. Bank Arena ice from last year's squad.

-Dean Stork, Jeremy Bachusz and Terry Marchant played for coach Chris Cichocki last year in Arkansas.

-Michael Chin scored a pair of goals in Saturday's win vs. Dayton.

-Fraser Clair will make his Cyclones debut on Friday after being the leading pest for the Lexington Men O' War last season.
