BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Despite outshooting San Diego on the evening, the Bakersfield Condors suffered a 7-0 loss to the San Diego Gulls in front of 4,637 fans at the iPayOne Center in San Diego.

San Diego opened scoring with a shorthanded goal by Steve Hildenbrand. Hildenbrand trailed the play as Richard Keyes turned a takeaway into a scoring chance with 3:21 remaining in the first. The Gulls would strike back two minutes later on a 5x3 goal by Martin Mandevlle on the rebound from a Grady Moore shot from the blue line. San Diego led 2- 0 at the end of the first period.

The Condors would fall further behind in the second period as San Diego would post four goals in the second period. Ryan Cyr, who started the game, was relieved following the fourth Gulls goal by Ryan Munce, who entered the game with 13:58 remaining in the second. Cyr gave up 4 goals on 14 shots as Munce made his second relief appearance of the season.

The wild second period also saw the Condors involved in some of the wilder fights of the season. Scott Balan took control of a tangle with Cody McLeod early in the period. Later on, Eric Neilson squared off in a quick skirmish with Alex Rogosheske following a Condors scoring chance. Nick Ganga and Jason Contemanche followed up with a physical brawl that saw both men escorted to the locker rooms by linesmen.

Cody McLeod made it 7-0 in the third period as he tapped a rebound from a Richard Keyes wrister outside the circles. It was the fifth goal surrendered by Cyr, who returned for the start of the third.

Tom Lawson picked up the shutout in the win, stopping all 32 Condor shots he saw. Ryan Cyr was given the loss, surrendering 4 goals on 14 shots before being replaced by Ryan Munce.

Tomorrow night, November 19th, the Condors return home to host the Long Beach Ice Dogs at 7:00pm. The Condors will be sporting unique Bakersfield-themed jerseys as part of the team's first Jersey Raffle & Auction of the season. 5 lucky fans will win their own game-worn jerseys from the evening, and the rest will be distributed through a post-game auction following the Condors/Ice Dogs matchup.
