
Titans receive Aquino from Sound Tigers

TRENTON, NJ - The Trenton Titans announced on Friday that forward Luciano Aquino has been assigned by the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League.
Aquino, 20, joins the Titans after appearing in nine games this season with Bridgeport, where he chipped in 2 assists and 6 penalty minutes. The 5'9'' 190-pounder from Mississauga, Ontario was selected by the Islanders in the seventh round, 210th overall, of this past summer's NHL Entry Draft. Aquino played for the Ontario Hockey League's Brampton Battalion last season where he ranked second on the squad with 71 points.
In a separate transaction, Mark Lee has been activated off the 7-day injured reserve list. Lee, 21, notched one assist in three games with Trenton before being placed on the IR. The 5'10'' 181-pounder from Mount Pearl, Newfoundland was the Kansas City Outlaw's Rookie of the Year posted 20 goals, 47 assists, 67 points and 65 penalty minutes in 78 games last season in the United Hockey League. He spent the previous season (2003-04) with the Prince Edward Island Rocket of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League compiling 25 points (11g, 24a) and 53 PIM in 65 games.
