Pensacola Ice Pilots News Release
Pensacola, FL - The Pensacola Ice Pilots will play host to the Augusta Lynx this Sunday afternoon at 4:05 p.m. The Stanley Cup will be at the game and a post game autograph session with the entire team will take place.
The Stanley Cup began touring the cities of 20 ECHL teams on October 26 to help raise money for hurricane relief efforts. The "Keeper of the Cup" from the Hockey Hall of Fame also will be available to answer questions and talk about the history of hockey.
Fans will have the opportunity to have their photograph taken with the Stanley Cup and make a monetary donation towards hurricane relief. The Stanley Cup will be on display in the V.I.P room (Blue Line Club) beginning at 2:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and will be on display in the concourse at Section 107 during the game. Fans are asked to bring their own camera for pictures.
All proceeds will benefit charities assisting in hurricane relief efforts including, but not limited to, the Red Cross, Salvation Army, and United Way. This tour is another addition to the National Hockey Leagues charitable efforts, which have included a joint donation with the NHL Players Association of $1 million to the Red Cross for Hurricane Katrina Relief.
Fans can purchase individual home game tickets in person at the
Civic Center box office, at any Ticketmaster location, charge by phone at 434-7444
