SAN DIEGO - The San Diego Gulls look to extend their unbeaten streak to six games tonight when they host the Bakersfield Condors in the back end of a home-and-home series.

SERIES HISTORY:
The Gulls have played the Condors two times so far this season with San Diego holding an early 2-0-0 series edge. The teams square off five more times during the regular season, including three in San Diego.

2005-06 HEAD-TO-HEAD SERIES:
11/4/05 San Diego 5 @ Bakersfield 4 (shootout)
11/17/05 San Diego 4 @ Bakersfield 3 (overtime)

LAST HEAD-TO-HEAD MEETING (NOV. 17 AT BAKERSFIELD):
Steve Hildenbrand scored a power-play goal with 29.7 seconds left in overtime, lifting the Gulls to a 4-3 win that extended their unbeaten streak to five games. San Diego netted three power-play goals after going 0-for-13 with the man advantage Sunday against Phoenix. Hildenbrand netted two power-play markers and Guillaume Fournier notched three assists to lead the offensive attack. San Diego had a 3-2 lead in the third period, but Bakersfield's Mike Hofstrand netted a short-hander 12:51 into the frame that forced overtime.

GULLS UPDATE:
San Diego (4-5-2) enters the day third in the Pacific Division with 10 points, five behind the first-place Fresno Falcons and one back of the second-place Long Beach Ice Dogs... A win tonight would move the Gulls into sole possession of second place, as the Ice Dogs are idle... San Diego is unbeaten in its last five games (3-0-2), with all games decided by one goal... Nine out of the Gulls' first 11 games have been on the road... Including tonight, eight of their next nine games will be at home...

OTHER NOTES:
Fournier is in the midst of a career-high five-game point streak (3g, 5a)... The "French Fries" line of Fournier, Pierre-Luc Sleigher and Martin Mandeville has combined for 17 points (7g, 10a) in the last five games... The trio average more than 11 shots per game... The Gulls still have the league's worst penalty killing (74.2 percent), but have not allowed a power-play goal in the last two games (nine opportunities)... San Diego has scored at least two power-play goals in four of the last five games...

BAKERSFIELD UPDATE:
Bakersfield (3-4-3) starts the day fourth in the Pacific Division with nine points, one behind the third-place Gulls... The Condors are winless in their last four games (0-2-2) and six out of their last seven (1-3-3)... Bakersfield's lone road win came Oct. 29 in Alaska... Scott Basiuk leads the team with 11 points and is sixth in the ECHL with 10 assists... The Condors have been outscored 24-10 on the road this season...
