Nailers Down Titans 2-1 in Shootout

TRENTON, NJ - Neither the Titans nor the Nailers could produce any goals through two periods of play on Friday night as the game entered the third period 0-0.

In the third the Titans got on the board with a breakaway shot from Chris Thompson that beat Andy Franck for a 1-0 lead. With less than 2:00 left in the game Coach Glenn Patrick pulled the goaltender after a delay of game penalty against the Titans to make it 6 on 4. Jordan Cameron beat Titans goalie Rejean Beauchemin to tie the game with 1:03 left.

The game would remain tied through overtime. In the Shootout Andy Franck stoned all five Titans shooters and Tim Verbeek netted the game winner off the post and in to give the Nailers their ninth win of the season and a 9-2-0 record for 18 points and first place in the North.
