The Florida Everblades defeated the Pee Dee Pride 3-2 in a shootout on Saturday night to complete a weekend sweep after they upended the Pride 6-0 on Friday night at TECO Arena. The Everblades host the South Carolina Stingrays this Friday and Saturday night at TECO Arena. The puck drops at 7:30 PM for both nights. All 72 regular season games can be heard on Sportsradio 770 AM, NewsRadio 1660 AM and on the Internet at www.floridaeverblades.com with the "Voice of the Everblades" Mark Miller calling the play-by-play. Listen to the 'The Gerry Fleming Coaches Show' presented by Stevie Tomato's Sportspage on Sportsradio 770 AM every Monday night from 6:30-7:30 PM. Tonight's show will be on remote at the Naples location with special guest defenseman Duane Harmer.
UPCOMING EVENTS/PROMOTIONS AT TECO ARENA: On Monday, December 2nd KennyG will be in concert at TECO Arena. On Friday, December 6th and Saturday, December 7th the Everblades host the South Carolina Stingrays. During Saturday's game the Everblades will conduct their annual Teddy Bear Toss after the Blades score their first goal of the game. GAME NOTES: The Everblades and Stingrays will meet for the third time this season. The Everblades are 2-0-0 versus South Carolina this year. Florida swept the Stingrays in Charleston back on November 1st and 2nd. South Carolina currently ranks in 1st place in the Southeast Division standings while Florida ranks in 5th place. Florida holds a 20-6-4 record all-time against the Stingrays and a 10-2-3 record at TECO. South Carolina forward Curtis Huppe leads the Stingrays in scoring with 8-17-25. South Carolina defenseman Brent Hendlay leads the Stingrays with 133 penalty minutes wich ranks him 2nd in the ECHL. Florida goaltender Rob Zepp is currently ranked first in the ECHL in goals against average with 1.78 and first in the ECHL in save percentage with a .943 SPCT. The Stingray power play ranks 15th in the ECHL and their penalty kill ranks 14th. The Everblades power play currently ranks 23rd in the ECHL and their penalty kill ranks 7th.

The Florida Everblades (9-6-5) upended the Pee Dee Pride (11-6-2) 3-2 in a shootout to earn a weekend sweep in front of a crowd of 6,187 at TECO Arena on Saturday night. Recently acquired forward Alex Zinevych scored the final goal in the shootout and goaltender Cam McCormick earned his first win in an Everblades uniform.

ECHL PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINATION: The Everblades ECHL player of the week nomination is forward Kevin Brown. The Birmingham, England native registered three goals and three assists this past weekend in the Everblades two victories. For his two goal two assist effort on Friday night he was awarded the second star of the game. Brown also added a goal on Saturday night and was awarded the first star of the game.
ECHL GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK NOMINATION: The Everblades ECHL goaltender of the week nomination is Rob Zepp. The Newmarket, Ontario native was 1-0-0 this past week before being recalled to the Lowell Lock Monsters (AHL). On Friday night, he stopped 33 of 33 shots on goal in the Everblades 6-0 win and earned his first professional shutout. Zepp is currently ranked first in the ECHL in goals against average with 1.78 and first in save percentage with a .943.
EVERBLADES IN THE COMMUNITY: On Monday, December 2nd 2 players will speak to the students at Pelican Marsh Elementary at 1:30 PM. On Tuesday, December 3rd, two players will speak to the students at Pinewoods Elementary at 12:00 PM. On Sunday, December 8th the Everblades will take on the Firefighters of Collier County in a softball game at Fleischmann Park in Naples at 2 PM. On December 9th and 10th the Everblades will distribute the stuffed animals collected at their Teddy Bear Toss on Saturday December 7th to non-profit organizations throughout SW Florida.
