WEEKLY SUMMARY:
The Johnstown Chiefs (10-10-1; 22 PTS NW div.) had their most productive weekend of the year as they went 2-0-1. The Chiefs extended their unbeaten streak to four games (3-0-1). Johnstown picked up two wins over the Wheeling Nailers in a home and home series and fell in a shootout to the Greensboro Generals Saturday night. Once again the Chiefs will play three games this week with road games on Wednesday vs. Cincinnati, Sunday vs. Richmond, and Saturday night they will play at home vs. Dayton.
GAME #20 (11/28/02) Johnstown 4 â WHEELING 1
Boutin Two Goals
The Chiefs won their second game in a row on Thanksgiving night as the rolled over the Wheeling Nailers 4-1 at the Wheeling Civic Center. J.F. Boutin led the way for the Chiefs with two goals. Andy Doktorchik and Sam St. Pierre scored the other Johnstown goals. Peter Aubry made 39 saves for the win.
GAME #21 (11/29/02) JOHNSTOWN 4 â Wheeling 2
Smital 200th Career Point w/ Chiefs
Lukas Smital's goal with just 2:33 left in regulation broke a 2-2 tie and lifted the Chiefs to a 4-2 win Friday night. The goal was Smital's 200th career point in a Chiefs uniform. Brent Bilodeau, J.F. Boutin and Dmitri Tarabrin also scored for the Chiefs. Peter Aubry made 15 saves for the win. The Chiefs out shot the Nailers 26-17.
GAME #22 (11/30/02) Greensboro 3 â JOHNSTOWN 2 (SO)
St. Pierre, Roy Two Assists
The power play was the theme of the night, as the Johnstown Chiefs fell in a shootout to the visiting Greensboro Generals 3- 2. All four goals that were scored in the game by both teams came on the man advantage. The Chiefs opened scoring in the second period with a P.L. Courchesne goal at 9:06. Greensboro would get the next two goals as Sam Ftorek would score power play markers at 15:41 and 17:21 of the second period. Lukas Smital would score for the Chiefs in the third period (2:15) to tie the game and send it into overtime and then a shootout. Greensboro won the shootout by a score of 2-0. Generals' goaltender Daniel Berthiaume made 30 saves for his 10th win of the season. Chiefs goaltender Peter Aubry made 27 saves for the tie.

The Chiefs and the Cincinnati Cyclones (10-8-1, 21 PTS; 4th NW div.) meet for the third time this season Wednesday night at Cincinnati. The Chiefs are 0-2-0 against the Cyclones this season and have been out scored 10-3. The Cyclones are currently in fourth place in the Northwest division trailing the Chiefs by a point. They are 6-4-0 in their last ten games and have won two straight.

The Chiefs and the Dayton Bombers (8-12-2, 18 PTS; T-5th NW div.) face-off for the fifth time this season Saturday night at the War Memorial. The Chiefs are 4-0-0 against the Bombers this season out scoring them 20-8. The Bombers are currently in 5th place in the Northwest division and are 4-6-0 in their last ten games.

The Chiefs and Richmond Renegades (15-9-0, 30 PTS; T-1st NE div.) face each other for the first of three games this season. The Chiefs were 3-1-1 against the Renegades last season. Richmond is currently tied for first place in the Northeast division with Atlantic City. They are 8-2-0 in their last ten games and have one of the ECHL's best home records (10-2-0).
CHIEFS NOTES:
- Lukas Smital recorded his 200th career point in a Chiefs uniform with the game winning goal in Friday night's 4-2 win over Wheeling. Smital now has 97 goals, and 104 Assists (201 PTS) in 236 games.
- J.F. Boutin has scored a goal in three straight games (4 goals).
- Phil Roy is 8th in scoring amongst defensemen in the ECHL with 16 PTS (6-10-16)
- The Chiefs have won three straight road games.
- Smital has a nine game point streak. In those nine games he has 4 goals and 8 assists (12 PTS)
