Hawks Gain Point, But Fall 6-5 in Overtime in Seattle Saturday

February 13, 2016 - The Portland Winterhawks (28-25-3-0) gained a point in the standings, but fell 6-5 in overtime Saturday in Seattle against the Thunderbirds (30-22-3-0). The Thunderbirds' Scott Eansor scored with 0.8 seconds remaining in the extra frame to give the home team the victory. The Hawks opened the scoring midway through the opening frame when Evan Weinger scored from the right faceoff circle at 9:35 to give Portland a 1-0 lead. Winterhawks Knock off Everett 3-2 Friday

February 12, 2016 - The Portland Winterhawks (28-25-2-0) earned a 3-2 win Friday over the visiting Everett Silvertips (32-18-2-2) at Veterans Memorial Coliseum. Portland opened the scoring 5:41 into the game when Colton Veloso made a great backhand pass to Alex Overhardt, who banged it into the net for a 1-0 lead the Hawks took into the second. Monday's Daylight Game Moved to 4

February 11, 2016 - The Portland Winterhawks have moved Monday's Daylight Game by one hour to 4 p.m. With the curtains open in Veterans Memorial Coliseum for the game, the new start time will ensure any sunlight is off the playing surface by the time the game starts. "The new 4 p.m. game time will still allow daylight in the arena, but the safety of the players is our highest priority. Timbers Conclude Tucson Preseason Camp with Win over Real Salt Lake

February 11, 2016 - TUCSON, Ariz. - The Portland Timbers concluded a successful two-week training camp in Tucson, Ariz. with their fourth preseason match at the Kino Sports Complex on Thursday morning. Forward Lucas Melano tallied the only goal just 30 seconds into the match in a 1-0 win against Real Salt Lake. Utilizing 22 different players again in Thursday's match, the Timbers first group included midfielder Darlington Nagbe, who made his first appearance with Portland in the preseason after joining the club...
