El Paso Chihuahuas News Release

Michael Gettys scored on a wild pitch with two outs and two strikes in the bottom of the ninth inning Sunday to give the El Paso Chihuahuas a 6-5 walk-off win over the Salt Lake Bees. It was El Paso's second walk-off win of the year and the first since Ty France's game-ending home run vs. Tacoma on April 17th.

Salt Lake led 2-0 entering the bottom of the ninth when the Chihuahuas rallied for five runs on RBI singles by Josh Naylor and Seth Mejias-Brean and a two-out, three-run home run by Austin Allen. El Paso's lead disappeared on three unearned runs in the top of the ninth, with the tying run coming because of a two-out balk by reliever Luis Perdomo.

The Chihuahuas have now won two of three against the Bees and 20 of their last 23 overall. Each of the last seven Chihuahuas games have been decided by one or two runs.
