
Veteran Kirton Headlines New Additions for Greenville

GREENVILLE, SC â The Greenville Grrrowl of the ECHL have announced the signing of eight players to ECHL contracts, and an impressive list of young talent to ECHL tryout invitations. Training camp will begin on Sunday, October 5th with thirty-three (33) athletes on the ice at the BI-LO Center.
Scott Kirton makes his return to Greenville after totaling 137 points (45G, 92A, 283 PIM) in 129 games during the 1999-00 and 2000-01 seasons with the Grrrowl. Kirton, a 6-4, 215lb. Right-winger from Ontario, led the Bracknell Bees of the BISL last season

FORWARDS: Ryan Fultz 6-0, 210lbs. â Lexington (ECHL), San Diego (WCHL) Joseph Forte 6-0, 205lbs. â Brock University (OUA) Rae Metz 6-0, 200lbs. â Fairfield University (ECAC)
DEFENSE: Robin DeLacour 6-1,190lbs. â Cincinnati Cyclones (ECHL) Brad Fraser 6-2, 205lbs. â Baton Rouge, Dayton, Toledo (ECHL) Stacey Bauman 6-1, 180lbs. â Yale University (NCAA)
GOALIE: Marc-Andre LeClerc 5-11, 190lbs. â Laredo (CHL) Mike Gilhooly 6-1, 190lbs. â Northeastern University (NCAA)

Two interesting additions to the pre-season roster will be Joey Lecesse (6-0, 225lbs. RW) of Lyman, SC (recent graduate of Northwood Prep), and the first Korean player in Grrrowl history Han-Soung Kim (6-1, 200lbs. -Forward) will participate in training camp drills. Kim was selected as the top collegiate player in Korea last season.
Training camp will open with the first on-ice workout on Sunday, October 5th at 9:30am at the BI-LO Center. All practices are open to the public â doors will open at 9:00am.
The Grrrowl have released the 2003-04 schedule, including "Opening Night presented by Verizon Wireless, on October 24th against the Charlotte Checkers at 7:05 PM. Greenville Grrrowl season tickets, mini-plans and flex packs are on sale now. Single game tickets will be on sale as of October 10, 2003.
