
Condors Training Camp Set to Begin

Bakersfield, Calif. â The Bakersfield Condors have announced the schedule for their first ECHL training camp, beginning on Saturday, October 4th. The camp will last 13 days and involve 27 players, leading up to Opening Night on Friday, October 17th against the team's Highway 99 rivals, the Fresno Falcons, at Centennial Garden.
The first week of training camp includes annual events such as the Open House and Family Day on Sunday, October 5th and the Condors Charity Golf Invitational on Monday, October 6th. The opening week concludes with a pair of preseason matches against the Las Vegas Wranglers â in Las Vegas on the 10th, and at home on the 11th.
"This is the next step of our preparation for the season," said Head Coach Paul Kelly. "We've assembled a team that we feel strongly about and we'll have just two weeks to get ready for Fresno. It's time to play some hockey.

7:00p Opening Night vs. Fresno
The Condors make their ECHL debut in just 16 days, on Friday, October 17th, hosting the Fresno Falcons Opening Night. Season ticket packages are available starting at just $48, and group outings are also available. Condors droppings: A few spots still remain for the Condors 6th Annual Charity Golf Invitational on Monday, October 6th at Rio Bravo Country Club. The event is sponsored by KERN 1410, A-Plus Plumbing, Heating and Air, and Chicago Title and teams foursomes up with a member of the 03-04 Condors squad. Cost is $125 per person, or $500 per foursome. Proceeds benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Bakersfield. Deadline for registration is October 2nd at 5:00pm. Call 324-PUCK (7825) for more information.
