Trenton Devils News Release

Trenton, NJ - The Trenton Titans Professional Hockey Team announced today that defenseman Vince Williams has re-signed with the club. The team also inked rookie forward Devin Rask.

Williams returns for the 2003-04 season after appearing in just 28 games last season between the Titans and Florida. In his 16 games with the Titans, he notched a goal, six assists and 20 penalty minutes. Williams has been a mainstay on the Titans blue line and will be looked upon to be a leader this season.

Rask begins his first professional season after spending the last four years playing with Providence College in Hockey East. He notched 18 goals and 26 assists last season in just 35 games with the Friars, which was second on the team. Rask led the squad with 12 multiple point efforts, and a career best four-goal game against Princeton on November 3, 2002. For his efforts he garnered the U.S. College Hockey Online Offensive Player of the Week award a day later.

"We are looking for big things out of Vince this season," stated Titans Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Bill Armstrong. "I think we will have a good mix back there, and Vince will give us steady play night in and night out. Devin has always been an offensive threat, and I think he will bring that to our team this season."

Rask and Williams give the Titans five players under contract for the Titans this season. They join forwards Scott Bertoli, Joe Rybar and Matt Zultek as players who have inked deals for the 2003-04 season.

Full season and partial ticket plans are on sale now by calling the Titans' ticket office at (609) 599-9500. The Titans begin "Five Years of Riveting Hockey" sponsored by St. Lawrence Rehabilitation Center on Friday night October 17th at 7:30 pm against the Reading Royals at the Sovereign Bank Arena.
