October 1, 2003 - ECHL (ECHL)
Augusta Lynx News Release

Another piece of the puzzle has been put in place by the Augusta Lynx for the 2003-04 Season with the announcement of forward Louis Goulet signing with the club.

Goulet played under Lynx Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Stan Drulia in the Atlantic Coast Hockey League last season. Goulet played an important part in the Orlando Seals' President's Cup Championship season in 2003. Though just 5-foot-8, the Kapuskasing, Ont. native notched 80 points last season with 20 goals for the Seals, and spent five games in the AHL with the Manchester Monarchs. Goulet also played four years at Mercyhurst College, serving at team captain there his senior year.

"He has the heart of a champion," said Drulia. "He's the type of guy that rises to any occasion. Louie really knows how to step up and take the team under his wing... he is a leader at all times."

The Lynx will play two pre-season games against the expansion Gwinnett Gladiators this year. The first game is Friday, October 10th at Gwinnett and will be closed to the public.
