Utah Grizzlies Michaud ECHL Goaltender Of The Week

Phoenix, Arizona - The ECHL announced today that Utah Grizzlies goaltender Alfie Michaud has been named the league's Rbk Hockey Goaltender of the Week for the second time this year.

Michaud went 2-0 with a 1.00 GAA and a save percentage of .961 for the week of February 13-19. Saturday, the former Vancouver Canuck recorded his second shutout of the season and the 18th of his professional career in Utah's 5-0 win in Las Vegas. He stopped all 28 Wranglers shots in the game.

Wednesday, the 2002-2003 ECHL Goaltender of the Year stopped 24 of 26 shots from the Stockton Thunder in a 4-2 Utah win at the E-Center.

Michaud is 5-0-1 with a 1.94 GAA and one shutout since returning to the Utah lineup on February 1 st following a month injured. Overall, he is 16-8-2 on the year.

The league also announced today that Utah forward Trevor Baker has finished as a runner-up for the league's In Glas Co Player of the Week. Baker finished the week with one goal and six assists in three games after he missed nearly three weeks injured. In Las Vegas Saturday, he recorded one goal and three assists. Prior to his injury, Baker spent most of January playing defense for the shorthanded Grizzlies.

The Grizzlies, 29-19-4, will go for their eighth straight win tonight, visiting a longtime rival in the Phoenix RoadRunners. Face-off is scheduled for 7:11 p.m. from the US Airways Center.
