INFERNO COACH'S SHOW: Tuesday, February 21st at 7pm. Forward Pat Noonan and goaltender Jani Hurme will be our special player guests. Come join us live at The Tap Room, located on Bower Parkway off of Harbison Blvd. The Tap Room is located right next door to the Columbiana Grand Movie Theatre. The Tap Room is home to 50 different beers on tap including root beer. Enjoy their great menu of dinner items, including their Texas Tumbleweed Rolls, Ahi Tuna, Brew Pub Style Roast Beef Sandwich and the Spinach and Portabella Mushroom Sandwich. You can also listen on ESPN 93.1FM from 7pm - 8pm.

THE WEEK AHEAD Friday, February 24th Inferno @ South Carolina Stingrays 7:05pm N. Char. Arena

The Inferno is 2-5-0 this season against the Stingrays. This is the eighth out of ten games between the Stingrays and Inferno. South Carolina is in fifth place with 50 points (20-19-10) in the South Division.

Saturday, February 25th Inferno vs. Greenville Grrrowl 7:30pm Carolina Coliseum

This is the eighth game against the Inferno and Grrrowl. Columbia is 4-3-0 this season against Greenville. Greenville is in third place in the South Division with 64 points (31-17-2).

LAST WEEK Friday, February 17th Inferno 3 SOUTH CAROLINA 6

The South Carolina Stingrays scored five unanswered goals as they skate away with a 6-3 win over the Inferno. South Carolina took a 1-0 lead at 2:51 of the first period with a goal by Evan Schwabe. FP Guenette dumped the puck into the Stingrays zone and Jeff Smith picks it up as he nets his seventh goal of the season at 15:31. At 18:51, Smith cycles the puck in the Stingrays zone and passed it to Guenette who took a wrist shot that beat goaltender Davis Parley over his glove. At 1:19 of the second period, Brandon Nolan and Mike Stathopoulos skated down the ice on a two-on-one. Nolan passed the puck across the front of the goal to Stathopoulos who tapped it in on a shorthanded attempt to give the Inferno a 3-1 lead. Five different players scored for the Stingrays, including two power play goals. South Carolina outshot the Inferno 34-31 and the Inferno was 0-for-3 on the power play.

Saturday, February 18th Inferno 2 AUGUSTA 5

The Augusta Lynx came back and scored three goals in the third period to beat the Columbia Inferno 5-2. The Lynx came out strong in the first period as they took advantage of a 4-on-4 and power play opportunity to take a 2-0 lead at the end of the first. Columbia had a solid second period as Derek Eastman nets a power play goal at 4:20 from F.P. Guenette. At 11:07, Marc-Andre Bernier scored with assists to Mike Stathopoulos and Guenette to tie the game at two. Augusta scored three goals in the third period to finish the scoring off at 5-2. The Inferno outshot the Lynx 30-27.

Sunday, February 19th Inferno Florida

The Columbia Inferno gained a point in the East Division as they were defeated in the 11th round of a shootout by the Florida Everblades, 4-3. At 11:02 of the first period, Dallas Flaman tipped in a pass from Jeff Miles to give the Inferno a 1-0 lead. Brandon Nolan gave the Inferno a 2-0 lead as he one-times a pass from Miles at 18:04. Just a minute later, Reggie Berg scored for the Everblades to bring them within one. Flaman added his second goal of the night at 5:39 of the second period as he unleashed a backhanded shot over the goalies glove, with Miles and Eastman on the assists. Dustin Johner and Berg scored for the Everblades as they tie the game at three at the end of the second period. Columbia outshot the Inferno 14-6 in the third period but remained scoreless as the game is pushed into overtime and a shootout.

Overall Record: 18-30-6 Position: 7th place (42 points)
