Storm Acquire Defenseman From Stockton

(Toledo, Ohio) The Toledo Storm of the ECHL announced today that they have acquired defenseman Mike Knight from the Stockton Thunder of the ECHL in exchange for defenseman Jeff Lang.

Knight, a native of Toronto, Ontario, has not played a game with Stockton this season as he was acquired yesterday from the Greenville Grrrowl of the ECHL. While with the Grrrowl, Mike dressed in 33 games, scoring 3 goals, adding 6 assists, and 57 penalty minutes. Knight played the last 2 seasons with the Plymouth Whalers of the Ontario Hockey League. Last season, Mike collected 126 penalty minutes in 64 games with the Whalers. Lang appeared in 44 games with the Storm this season, collecting 25 points (3g, 22a). Twelve of his 22 assists have come on the power play.
