Last Week:

The Toronto Marlies posted a record of 1-1-0-0 in two road games this past week.

On Saturday the Marlies were defeated 5-2 by the Texas Stars, AHL affiliate of the Dallas Stars. Spencer Abbott and Carter Ashton scored for Toronto while Drew MacIntyre made 38 saves in the loss.

Toronto went 0-for-3 on the powerplay and 1-for-2 on the penalty kill. Brett Ritchie, Travis Morin and Cameron Gaunce each registered two points.

The Marlies capped off their two-game Texas road trip with a 4-2 win over the San Antonio Rampage, AHL affiliate of the Florida Panthers. T.J. Brennan and John-Michael Liles each notched two points while rookie goaltender Christopher Gibson earned his first AHL victory in his first career start. Gibson stopped 34 of 36 shots and was named the game's second star.

Toronto went 2-for-7 on the powerplay and 3-for-4 on the penalty kill.

Look Ahead:

The Marlies will take to the ice for two divisional games this coming week.

On Friday, Toronto travels down the QEW for a 7:30 p.m.

game against the Hamilton Bulldogs, AHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens. Martin St.

Pierre leads the Bulldogs in scoring with 14 points (three goals, 11 assists) in 16 games.

Dustin Tokarski has posted a record of 8-3-1 in 14 games this season.

The Marlies return home on Saturday afternoon for a 3 p.m.

game against the Rochester Americans, AHL affiliate of the Buffalo Sabres. Phil Varone leads all active Amerks skaters in points with 17 (four goals, 13 assists) in 18 games. Matt Hackett has posted a 0.907 save percentage and a 3.06 goals against average in 13 games this season.
