BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Binghamton Senators announced today that forward Mike Hoffman has been named team captain.
Taken by Ottawa in the fifth round of the 2009 draft, Hoffman has appeared in 209 career American Hockey League contests, all with Binghamton, posting 51 goals and 75 assists for 126 points. This season Hoffman has appeared in all of Binghamton's 18 games posting team highs in goals (10), assists (14) and points (24). Hoffman's 24 points currently puts him in a tie for third place for all AHL players.
Binghamton will be playing at home tonight in a 7:05 p.m. matchup versus the Syracuse Crunch.
