
Heat Recall Martin and Lafranchise from Alaska

Abbotsford, BC - The Abbotsford Heat announced today that they have recalled defenseman James Martin and Kane Lafranchise from the Alaska Aces, the Heat's developmental affiliate in the ECHL.
Martin, a native of Winnipeg, Manitoba, has played in 14 games with the Aces this season and has recorded (0-8-8) and 12 penalty minutes. Martin has 33 games of AHL experience with the Heat throughout his career and has recorded (2-2-4) and 30 penalty minutes.
Lafranchise, a native of Edmonton, Alberta, has played in 14 games with the Aces this season and has recorded (3-3-6) and six penalty minutes. Lafranchise has 10 games of AHL experience split between Oklahoma City Barons (nine games) and the Houston Aeros (one game).
The Heat welcomes the Utica Comets (AHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks) this Friday, November 29th and Saturday, November 30th. Friday, November 29th will feature the third Legends of Hockey night of the season, with Canucks legend Kirk McLean appearing for autographs prior to the game on the AESC concourse at 6:00pm. On Saturday, November 30th, one lucky fan will have the opportunity to win $5000 in the Honda Way Shootout, courtesy of the Honda Way Abbotsford.
