Canadiens Reassign Nygren to Farjestad

MONTREAL, QUEBEC - Montreal Canadiens and Hamilton Bulldogs General Manager Marc Bergevin announced today the Canadiens have reassigned defenceman Magnus Nygren to Farjestad BK of the Swedish Hockey League.
In 16 games with Hamilton this season, Nygren has recorded eight points (one goal, seven assists) and 14 penalty minutes. The 23-year-old defenceman spent the 2012-2013 season with Farjestad. In 51 regular season games, he recorded 32 points (13 goals, 19 assists) and 49 penalty minutes and received the Salming Trophy as the top defenceman in the Swedish Elite League. He was selected by the Montreal Canadiens in the fourth round (113th overall) in the 2011 National Hockey League Entry Draft.
Hamilton's next game is tonight when they travel to Rochester, New York to face the Rochester Americans (AHL affiliate of the Buffalo Sabres) at 7:05 p.m. The Bulldogs will return to Copps Coliseum on Friday, November 29th when they will host the Toronto Marlies (AHL affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs) at 7:30 p.m. Friday's game will be broadcast live in high definition on Cable 14.
