IceCaps Freeze Bears 4-2

Brenden Kichton fired a pair of goals, while Patrice Cormier and Kael Mouillierat each had a goal and an assist as the St. John's IceCaps doubled the Hershey Bears 4-2 Wednesday night at the GIANT Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

Cormier opened the scoring at the 4:06 mark of the first period, converting a pass in the slot from Mouillierat. Eric O'Dell was awarded the other assist on Cormier's third goal of the season. The Bears drew even on the powerplay when Peter Leblanc deflected a point shot in the slot past IceCaps goaltender Eddie Pasquale at 10:59.

Kichton restored the IceCaps' lead at the 11:08 mark of the second stanza, as he pinched in from the blueline on the powerplay and fired a wrister past Bears netminder David Leggio. John Albert and Pasquale picked up the assists. Mouillierat scored the game-winner at 10:19 of the third period as he redirected a Cormier shot that trickled past Leggio. Julian Melchiori had the other assist. Kichton sealed the win with an empty-netter at 18:49 before Ryan Stoa's snap shot beat Pasquale glove side with only three seconds remaining in the contest.
