
Monsters Top Bulldogs 4-3 in Shootout in 'Dogs Final AHL Game

HAMILTON, ONT. - The Hamilton Bulldogs' final American Hockey League game of their 19-year history ended with a 4-3 shootout loss to the Lake Erie Monsters (35-29-8-4), marking the first time all season the 'Dogs (34-29-12-1) went to a shootout.
Lake Erie forward Joey Hishon scored the only goal of the shootout to seal it for the Monsters.
Hamilton forwards T.J. Hensick and Christian Thomas had a goal and an assist each to lead the 'Dogs. Hensick's two points capped off his season with a team-high 60 points.
Forward Eric Tangradi had the other goal for the 'Dogs, while forwards Daniel Carr and Sven Andrighetto collected assists.
On the Monsters' side, forward Andrew Agozzino led their charge with two assists. Forward Freddie Hamilton and defencemen Cody Corbett and Stefan Elliott notched the goals for Lake Erie, while forwards Kenny Ryan and Hishon also had assists.
Brandon Whitney made 33 saves on 36 shots for the Bulldogs in the loss, while Calvin Pickard stopped 40 of 43 shots faced for the Monsters in the win.
Hamilton was 0-for-3 on the power play, while Lake Erie went 1-for-2 on the man advantage.
