Toledo Acquires James

(Toledo, Ohio) The Toledo Storm of the ECHL announced today that they have acquired forward Mike James from the Johnstown Chiefs in exchange for future considerations.

Head Coach and Director of Player Personnel Nick Vitucci said of James, "He is a tough, hard nosed player with skill. He will add some grit to our forward units."

James, the native of Windsor, Ontario, has appeared in 58 games this season with Johnstown and has collected 11 goals, and 19 assists. Mike is third among ECHL rookies with 207 penalty minutes. Prior to joining Johnstown at the end of the 2003-04 season, James played parts of 4 seasons with the Windsor Spitfires of the Ontario Hockey League. Mike collected 44 goals, and 41 assists in 135 games with the Spitfires.

The Storm return to the home ice this Friday and Saturday nights against the Trenton Titans. Friday, March 18th is Tropical Storm Night with the "Miss Tropical Storm" Bikini Contest. Toledo Hockey...A History of Champions!
