Augusta Lynx News Release
John Snowden's hat trick helped the Texas Wildcatters past the Augusta Lynx 6-2 on Tuesday night at the Augusta-Richmond County Civic Center.
Jason Kostadine started the scoring for Texas at 8:13 of the first period by tipping a Dean Stork shot past Matus Kostur for a 1-0 lead. Snowden would follow with his first goal of the night on a draw win from Andrew Ianero for a 2-0 score through 20 minutes of play.
Augusta came back in the second period with a pair of Sean Connolly power play goals, the first at 1:12 and the second at 8:26 to even the game at 2-2. Paul Falco would restore the lead for the Wildcatters, scoring the eventual game winner at 13:28 of the second stanza on an unassisted goal.
In the third, Eric Sonnenberg made it 4-2 followed by Snowden's second and third goals of the night to ice a 6-2 Wildcatters win. Phil Osaer's solid and at times spectacular play in net secured the victory for Texas with 45 saves. Kostur took the loss with 21 stops for the Lynx.
