
Masse Returns From Hershey

Reading, PA â The Reading Royals, affiliate of the NHL's Los Angeles Kings and AHL's Manchester Monarchs, have announced that the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League have assigned forward David Masse to Reading.
Masse appeared in 43 games with the Bears after he was called up on November 18, 2004. The Montreal, Quebec native fired in 12 goals, seven on the power play, and 19 points with 21 penalty minutes. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound left wing began the season with Reading. He scored two goals and two assists with 23 minutes in penalties in 11 games with the Royals. Masse was Reading's leading scorer on last year's Northern Division Championship squad. In 14 games, he registered six goals and eight assists for 14 points and ten penalty minutes. He was first among rookies in the Kelly Cup Playoffs in the following categories; points (14), power-play goals (4), power-play assists (6), power-play points (10), and game-winning goals (2). Masse is expected in the line up tonight and he will wear sweater #9.
Reading and Peoria meet for the sixth time this season tonight in the Sovereign Center at 7:05 p.m. The Royals will be wearing special St. Patty's Day Jazz Fest jerseys, which will be auctioned off to benefit the Berks Arts Council. The Dayton Bombers return to Reading on Thursday, March 17, St. Patty's Day. The first 1,000 children, 12-and-under, receive a Royals Frisbee courtesy of St. Joseph's Medical Center. Trenton visits Reading on Sunday at 5:05 p.m. All Star Distributing is handing out Royals car flags to the first 1,500 adults, 21-and-over.
