Bombers Lose Overtime Heartbreaker In Troy Tuesday Night

Troy, OH – The Dayton Bombers suffered a 1-0 overtime loss to the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies in front of 2,139 at Hobart Arena in Troy, Ohio Tuesday night. Former Bombers forward Fraser Clair scored the game-winning goal with just 44 seconds left in overtime.

Following three periods of scoreless hockey, Bombers goaltender MIKE AYERS watched his bid for victory – and his first professional shutout – fade when Fraser Clair scored the game-winner at 4:16 of sudden death overtime.

Dave Marlin recorded 28 saves and his first professional shutout for the Bullies, who now enjoy sole possession of first place in the ECHL North Division with 76 points after 61 games. The Bombers have 12 games remaining in the 72-game regular season schedule..

The Dayton Bombers return to action Thursday night when they travel to The Sovereign Center to face the Reading Royals on St. Patrick's Day. Audio coverage begins at 7:05 PM at daytonbombers.com.
