
Tacos serve up a series win over Isotopes

Fresno, California - The Fresno Tacos (21-18) sizzled past the Albuquerque Isotopes (20-20) 10-3 from Chukchansi Park. Fresno improved to 6-0 in home day games while earning the series win in the process. Every position player recorded at least one hit and four Tacos homered. Collin Cowgill jump started the contest with his third leadoff clout of the year. Matt Reynolds and Jacob Wilson followed suit, both going deep in the fifth. Finally, Raudy Read supplied a solo shot in the eighth. Bengie Gonzalez had a season-high three hits while Jose Marmolejos and Alec Keller added a pair of knocks.
Roberto Ramos smoked the lone big fly for the Isotopes, a solo dinger in the fifth. Brian Mundell and Brendan Rodgers each recorded two hits and one RBI apiece. Rodgers enjoyed six knocks in the past two outings. Pat Dean (0-2) suffered the defeat after four and two-thirds innings of work.
Paolo Espino (3-1) twirled six and two-thirds frames of three-run ball en route to the victory. He punched out a season-high eight batters. Tanner Rainey and Vidal Nuno III each tossed scoreless relief appearances. Both clubs will relish an off-day on Wednesday.
