Toledo Walleye News Release
STORM NOTES
- Seven Heaven! Wednesday night in Trenton, Toledo dropped a 7 spot on the Titans in a 7-5 win. The 7 goals are the most the Storm has scored in a game this season. The last time a Toledo Storm team scored 7 goals or more was January 13th, 2004 in Greenville (7-1 win). In Wednesday's game, Toledo had 7 different goal scorers.
- Scooting Along! Over his last 8 games, Scooter Smith has collected at least a point. That is a new season high for a Storm player breaking Nick Parillo's 7 game mark set from 10/22/04-11/11/04. Five of the eight games have seen Scooter collect multiple points, and he has 15 points (5-10) over that stretch.
- Shorthand This! Wednesday's game also saw Toledo score its eleventh shorthanded goal of the season. That is the second most in the ECHL (Reading, Bakersfield each have 12). Nick Parillo has scored 5 of the goals, and his 7 shorthanded points is tied for the most in the ECHL.
- One Goal Games! Toledo won another one goal contest Saturday night in Atlantic City. Toledo is 15-5-4 in one goal games this season. The 15 wins are second only to Wheeling, who has 17.
- Toledo is 16-6-1 at home and 13-12-3 on the road this year.
